Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people with physical and emotional health challenges. A personalized practice of movement, restorative postures, breathing and meditation is created to meet each individual’s needs. Through these practices one can attain balance of body/mind, self-healing, acceptance, restoration and transformation. One can also manage symptoms that are not changeable.
What can I expect: At your first session I will review your intake questionnaire. I will do a postural assessment and provide you with a private personal practice that will address your physical and emotional concerns. The tools I will give you may be pranayama (breathwork), asanas (postures), Ayurveda(Science of Life), mudras(intentional hand postures) and self-reflection questions. Through your customized home practice you will be able to discover ways to balance and unify your mind, body and spirit. Our first session will last 1.5-2 hours. Subsequent sessions will be for one hour.
